Yoga Show Highlights: Inspiring Moments and Wellness Discoveries

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Toronto Yoga Show, an annual event that brings together yoga enthusiasts, practitioners, and experts from all over. It was my first time attending, and I must say, it was an incredibly enjoyable and enlightening experience.

The venue was buzzing with energy as soon as I walked in. There were numerous stalls set up showcasing everything from eco-friendly yoga mats and apparel to essential oils and organic snacks. The vibrant colors, soothing music, and the scent of incense created a serene and welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me in a relaxed state of mind. Here are some of my favourites:

Stephanie Chinn Art

Stephanie Chinn is the International best-selling author of her debut book: Here Sister, let Me Help You Up. She is an illustrator, activist, and founder of Step Into Your Magic; a community for women to heal and take up space. Her work focuses on unpacking the different ways we can remind ourselves that we are enough while simultaneously unpacking the ways we have been led to believe we are not.

She taught me that Hibiscus has been dubbed the “botox plant” due to its firming and lifting properties, helping to increase skin elasticity and accelerate cell turnover!

Zen Mama

Motherhood is undeniably a balancing act. Striving to excel in various roles while sidelining personal needs is common. Understanding this struggle firsthand as a mother of twins, Jessica, the founder of Zen Mama emphasizes the importance of self-care by finding moments of zen throughout the day. Aside from the amazing vendors, there were also informative talks and panel discussions on topics ranging from the philosophy of yoga to its health benefits and its impact on mental well-being. It was fascinating to hear insights from experts in the field and to learn about the holistic approach of yoga that goes beyond just physical exercise.

One of the things that stood out to me the most was the sense of community at the Toronto Yoga Show. Despite the large number of attendees, there was a genuine sense of camaraderie and support among everyone. People were smiling, sharing experiences, and encouraging each other, creating a positive and uplifting environment that was truly infectious.

In addition to all the yoga-related activities, there were also opportunities to explore other holistic practices such as meditation and energy healing. I had the chance to try a few mini-sessions and was pleasantly surprised by how grounded and centered they made me feel.

All in all, my time at the Toronto Yoga Show was nothing short of amazing. It was a wonderful opportunity to immerse myself in the world of yoga, connect with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable knowledge and insights that I can apply to my own practice and daily life. I left the event feeling inspired, refreshed, and eager to continue my journey on the path of yoga and holistic well-being. I'm already looking forward to attending again next year!
